The Yorkshire and Humber Climate Commission is supported by a small Secretariat, based at the University of Leeds, and overseen by the Co-Directors of the Commission.
Kat is an Engagement and Impact Officer looking after the Net Zero and Future Economy Panels. Her role is to support the two panels to develop ambitious climate action across the region.
Muriel is an Engagement and Impact Officer supporting the Climate Adaptation and Resilience Panel, as well as a Research Fellow at the University of Leeds. She supports local authorities to mainstream climate adaptation throughout their organisations and build resilience to extreme weather events and future climate risks.
Amelia is a Policy Fellow at the University of Leeds and supports both the Yorkshire and Humber Climate Commission and the Leeds Climate Commission. Her research assesses the pathways by which a given locality can get to net-zero emissions.
Rosa joined the Environment Agency in 2003 and in 2019 was appointed its lead on the climate emergency response for Yorkshire. She is responsible for overseeing the Secretariat and ensuring the effective running of the Commission.
Margo is Research Manager: Energy, Climate Change and Sustainability at the University of Leeds. Along with the Secretariat Administrator, she helps to keep the wheels of the Yorkshire and Humber Climate Commission turning.
Sam is the Engagement and Impact Officer for the Climate Adaptation and Resilience Panel and the Land, Water, Nature, Food Panel. She supports the two panels to implement ambitious climate action across the region.
Catherine is Communications and Engagement Officer at the University of Leeds. She helps publicise the activities of the Yorkshire and Humber Climate Commission through various communications and engagement platforms, including social media, websites and events.
Jon is the Engagement and Impact Officer focusing on business and community engagement. He supports the Communities & Engagement Panel and leads on the development of the Yorkshire & Humber Climate Action Pledge.
Kate is Policy and Communications Manager for the Place-Based Climate Action Network (PCAN). She provides communications and engagement support for the Yorkshire and Humber Climate Commission and co-ordinates the Public Affairs Steering Group.
Jane is a Research Administrator in the School of the Earth and Environment at the University of Leeds. She is the Secretariat Coordinator for the Yorkshire and Humber Climate Commission.
Andrew has a background as a planning and sustainability consultant and an environmental campaigner. His role at the Commission is to build the application and impact of our work on local policymaking, the planning system, and to contribute to influencing national policy.
