Our Yorkshire and Humber Climate Action Plan has been getting great feedback on our social channels, with lots of enthusiastic testimonials.

Kate Livesey, Climate Risk & Strategy Manager for Yorkshire Building Society, wrote: “Effective climate action takes a holistic view of the nuances of place, people, and systems within an area... Take a read of this amazing Action Plan from the Yorkshire & Humber Climate Commission, which does just that! Or if you only have a minute, watch this video."

Steph Hepworth of Nature North, said: "Shout out to the Yorkshire and Humber Climate Commission who have worked with their region to create a really clear, accessible and positive plan to tackle climate-related challenges."

Sport England wrote: "It's brilliant to see the release of Yorkshire & Humber Climate Commission's Climate Action Plan. With our changing climate impacting our opportunities, motivation and ability to be active, everyone who takes part in sport and physical activity must be guardians of our environment."

Oliver Harmer, COO of Natural England, called the report, “A major milestone for climate planning, Yorkshire & Humber Climate Commission have truly galvanised leadership in a way where the whole can be so much greater than the sum of the parts. Collaborative, inclusive & positive action.”

Dr Roger Cremades Rodeja, Associate Professor in Urban Environmental Change at the University of Leeds told us: “The Climate Action Plan is brilliant! I really like how it puts together the multiple challenges of biodiversity, adaptation and mitigation. I am going to use it as an example to partially reformulate a course.”

There are more, but we’ll leave the last word to Niki Roach, Planet Possible Podcast host, who said: "If you’re interested in what needs to be done, what it’s going to cost and where you might be able to help, this document is a blooming amazing place to start. Practical, clear and honest. It doesn’t shy away from the difficult reality of our situation, but leaves me feeling hopeful."
